Product of CareerTech education. 38 years serving students, adults, and communities. Retired law enforcement. Lifelong champion of hands-on learning.
I’m a proud product of CareerTech education. My journey started in high school Auto Mechanics. Four years later, I returned to the same mission as an adjunct adult evening automotive teacher, and within two years became a full-time automotive instructor.
After 22 years in the classroom, I pursued my Master’s Degree, which opened the door to leadership roles supporting adult learners and student success. I later served as Adult Training Coordinator, creating and supervising short‑term adult classes, and then as Director of Fulltime Programs.
Across a combined 38 years in CareerTech Education, my focus has been simple: create pathways that help people build skills, careers, and confidence.
Returned to CareerTech four years after high school to teach adult learners.
Led classroom and lab instruction for 22 years, mentoring future technicians.
Advanced my practice to expand impact beyond a single classroom.
Created and supervised short‑term adult classes for workforce upskilling. ~6 years.
Led student support, enrollment, and success initiatives across programs.
I’ve been married for over 42 years, and I’m a retired law enforcement professional. Those experiences shaped my approach to leadership: consistent, community‑minded, and student‑first.
I’m happy to connect with fellow educators, students, and workforce partners.
